Of course, at Infinity Auto Insurance we are always available to answer any questions you may have, but chances are your questions have been asked before. To make your life easier, we compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions about claims with straightforward answers. If you don't find your questions here, or if you need more information, feel free to give us a call.

Q. How do I report a claim?

A. Call Infinity Auto Insurance immediately at 1-800-334-1661. If you want to know exactly what will happen when you make that call, go to our Report a Claim page.

Q. How do you figure out how much my claim payment will be?

A. We know how much your deductible is, so once we figure out the total repair cost (or cash value if it's not a repair), we just subtract your deductible from that amount. When someone else is at fault, we will do everything we legally can to have them cover all costs, including your deductible.

Q. What happens when my car is a total loss?

A. If you have collision or comprehensive coverage, your car may be moved to a salvage yard after you remove all your personal belongings and license plates from it, and hand over the keys. You will need the vehicle title, and if you are still making payments on the car, you will need the name, address, phone number and account number of the lien holder. Your Infinity representative will determine the value of your vehicle and discuss your options with you.

When the payment amount is over $500 and the car has a lien, the settlement check will include the lien holder's name.

Q. Will my payment be different if the car is financed?

A. Not at all! However, if the payment is over $500 the settlement check will include the lien holder's name.

Q. Who handles my claim, and how do I get in touch with a claims representative?

A. You will have one Infinity Claims representative who will handle all your claim processing. He or she may be assisted by an appraiser. You will get a claim number, and that number will ensure that you get accurate and prompt service anytime you call. Our toll-free claims department number is 1-800-334-1661.

Q. Will my rates or coverage be affected once I make a claim?

A. Your auto insurance rates depend on a set of factors that may or may not include your claims history. Among the many factors that may determine your rate are repair costs in your state, the type of car that you drive, the individuals in your household, and the distance that you commute to work. If you would like to discuss all of the factors that are used to calculate your auto insurance rate, please give us a call or contact your Infinity agent.
